God made a choice to save you and made you new. Brought you out of the kingdom of darkness and transferred you in to the kingdom of the Son of His love.
In John 3:5-8 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Don’t be surprised that Jesus used “Birth” to explain Spiritual Regeneration. Because when you think about birth it automatically tells you that it doesn’t need your cooperation to bring you in this world.
When you were physically born did you help your mother give birth to you? Was it synergistic or was it all her?
Our spiritual rebirth depends on God alone. We were once dead in our transgression, God made us alive in Him. It had nothing to do with us, it had everything to do with who God is. God through the work of the Holy Spirit bring about the salvation of an individual through Spiritual Regeneration. Enabling the person who has heard the Gospel to believe and is given the hunger for His Word.
When brought to life how do we respond?Do we tell Him “It’s not fair!” Yes it’s not fair, it’s called GRACE. Do we ask Him why? No, we respond by worshiping Him for who He is, in all humility and thanksgiving, for we are justified by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
